Elements Contemporary Ballet was born in Chicago in May of 2005 when Artistic Director Mike Gosney created a company of dancers using technical virtuosity and an avant-garde style. Gosney has since developed the athletic proficiency and artistry of the eleven professional dances comprising the company, while also creating a repertory that pushes classical ballet to a new level. The ECB dancers hail from prestigious and eclectic backgrounds such as: The Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, River North Chicago Dance Company and more.
