How can we provide the best "out-of-school" experience for Chicago-area youth?

On April 28, Urban Gateways and Motorola Foundation hosted an Imagination Salon event entitled "Beyond Tutoring: The Out-of-School Hours." City and community leaders gathered to discuss the importance of those critical hours before and after school.

CAN-TV covered the event and will be rebroadcasting the discussion at a later date.  Till then, check out the clip below featuring JaMaya Austin, a  student who participates in after-school programming in Chicago's Woodlawn Community, and Sonja Henderson, a teaching artist who provides after-school programming through several organizations including Urban Gateways
