Classroom Programs offer learning centers customized
programming designed to meet the unique needs of their students,
parents, teachers, and administrators.
Classroom programs are available in literary, performing,
and visual arts and
include artist-in-Residence Programs, After-School and Community
Programs, Professional Development for Teachers and Parent
and Community Workshops. |
The components of classroom programs:
- Introduction to an Urban Gateways artist
- Collaboration
- Introduction to professional work(s) of art
- Observation and interpretation of the professional
work(s) of art
- Reading and writing activities
- Study of the language, elements, principles,and
qualities of the arts
- Art making by participants
- Presentation
- Reflection
- Mutually agreed upon outcomes
