ARTIST APPLICATION FOR 2010-11 COMING SOON!

Urban Gateways contracts with professional artists and collaborates with schools, cultural institutions, and community-based organizations to provide arts programming. With a growing demand for quality artists, Urban Gateways seeks to expand and diversify its roster of artists.

Current program offerings include touring, artist-in-residence and workshops.

Touring performances are 40 minutes in length, occur at the school or community site, and must be adaptable for various settings.

Residency programs feature artists who work in residence at a school or community site. Programs are conducted during, before, and after school; and take place in public, private, and parochial school settings as well as community sites.  In-school residencies include collaborating with educators to extend the experience into the context of each classroom; after-school residencies offer teaching artists the opportunity to work with multi-age students in various programs.
