Chicago Human Rhythm Project's resident ensemble - BAM! - performs award winning choreography as they demonstrate, explain and engage students in the evolution of American tap dance from Broadway to Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Rooted in African and Irish cultures, American tap continues to evolve as rhythmic influences from around the world create global percussive art. NEW dances include works by: American legend - Buster Brown; Emmy Award winner and Broadway choreographer - Ted Levy; Spanish sand dancer - Guillem Alonso; Riverdance star - Martin "Tre" Dumas; BAM!'s own talented group of young, diverse dancers; and a very special participatory work by Brazil's body band - Barbatuques! BAM! creates a universe of rhythmic possibilities that will ignite imaginations and leave students and teachers wanting more!

Technical Requirements
- Minimum performance space of 12' x 12' and maximum of 25' x 25'
- Wood floor, must not be slippery
- Sound system; CD player with monitor on stage
- Costume rack (or coat rack)
- Four chairs
- Changing room close to performing area with drinking water for four to five dancers
- 30 minute minimum set-up time
