La Bamba: Latin American Journey

You won't get lost on this musical tour through Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean - the performer brings plenty of maps and flags, as well as percussion instruments for students to try. Folk guitarist and singer Nelson Sosa performs the rhythms and songs of Latin America and discusses how geography, culture, and customs influence the music of each region. Salsa, Merengue and Cha Cha Cha are just some of the rhythms performed by Sosa. This program can be connected with many celebrations such as: Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, Flag Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and more.
