Play That Funky Music

Join guitarist Mike Dangeroux and his band, The Funky MDs, on a retrospective ride featuring the smooth, sugary pop music known as funk. With its influences in rock-and-roll, rhythm and blues, jazz, and soul music, funk became a popular genre beginning in the late 1960s. This program covers the music made legendary by artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Rick James, Ohio Players, and Kool & the Gang. Everyone will be on their feet to this music designed for dancing all night.
