Join musician Carol Weston in an interactive
program of familiar and new songs. Students will be clapping and singing
along and can also participate by accompanying Weston on small percussion
instruments. “I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly,” “Jenny
Jenkins,” and other favorites give students a foundation for a life-long
appreciation of music. Weston also demonstrates the guitar and banjo as
well as some additional acoustic instruments played by volunteers from
the audience.

Carol Weston is an experienced singer and performer.
In addition, she is a teacher and holds a B.A. in elementary education
and an M.A. in special education from St. Mary’s College. She has
conducted music workshops for people working with children, and has instructed
guitar classes for adults and children.
